📅 March 3, 2026 (Tuesday)

Holi is the Festival of Colours — a vibrant spring festival celebrating the triumph of devotion (Prahlada) over evil (Hiranyakashipu), the love of Radha and Krishna, and the arrival of spring. It is a two-day festival: Holika Dahan (bonfire) followed by Rangwali Holi (colours).

Significance

Holi commemorates the burning of demoness Holika (who tried to kill devotee Prahlada) — symbolising the destruction of evil. The next day, people play with colours — a joyful expression of spring, equality, and the forgiveness of past grievances.
